Construction Update – June 2012

Excerpt from June Ministry Update Letter (coming soon):

“Right now we are making significant headway on the house. Once the pluming is completed I will be finishing up the second bathroom that we are adding in the master. This will be a great step toward being able to host people in need. Allowing them and us to have our own bathroom spaces will be a blessing for all of us. Since the existing plumbing had to be redone anyway (Don’t take a bath! It will leak all over our livingroom!), this was perfect timing. I will be very busy over the next month as the remodeling moves forward at a fast pace. I have also ordered 16 new windows to help with the windy winters. Our existing windows were neglected over the years and have become extremely drafty in spite of our efforts to remedy them. We also had central air installed for the sake of the people we will be hosting and for the regular group meetings and Prayer Resolution sessions we are having in our house now.”

Above is the progression of our front porch. We never used it, except to collect junk that we would proudly show off when people came over. Now the neglected step-child-room is truly part of the family. We intend on using this room for Prayer Resolution counseling as it is our best (though not ideal) room to for such a personal prayer encounter with our heavenly Father.
